5 Classy cocktails
Cocktails
can be very classy. In this article I’m not talking about the colored cocktails
that people serve at the beach but about the most classy cocktails that you can
drink.
Here are my 5 favourite cocktails:
Manhatten noonday (Bourbon based):
1 1/2
oz. bourbon
1 oz. sweet (Italian) vermouth
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash simple syrup
1 maraschino cherry
1 oz. sweet (Italian) vermouth

Sazerac
(Whiskey based):
1/4 cup
sugar
6 tbsp. Sazerac rye whiskey
6 dashes Peychaud's bitters
4 dashes Angostura bitters
2 tsp. Herbsaint
2 thin strips lemon zes
6 tbsp. Sazerac rye whiskey

Negroni
(Campari/Gin based):
3 oz.
gin (preferably Bombay Sapphire)
3 oz. Campari
3 oz sweet vermouth
Slice of orange, halved
3 oz. Campari

White
spider (Cointreau/Gin based):
1 small
egg white
1 tbsp. fine sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 oz. gin
3/4 oz. Cointreau
1/3 tsp. Sugar
1 tbsp. fine sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 oz. gin

Gin
and Tonic (Gin based and my all time favourite!):
1 oz. dry gin
4 oz. tonic
